Ministry Teams

As members of Christ’s body, we are all called to serve. Our ministry teams are one of the many ways we do this.

Children’s Ministries

Children’s Ministries Director - Mari Alexander

The Children's Ministries teams serve the children of CTK by proclaiming the gospel of Jesus Christ so they may understand God's redemptive plan for His people and their need for Jesus as their only hope of salvation.  We also seek to serve and assist parents in the “spiritual nurture, instruction, and training of the children of the Church.”  This is accomplished by weekly Children's Church, Nursery, Sunday School, and periodic Communicants’ Classes and fellowship opportunities.  Finally, Children’s Ministry is responsible for the recruitment, training, and equipment of teachers and volunteers to be effective and joyful communicators of the gospel.

Communion Ministry

Team Leader - Chrissy Youngren

The Communion Ministry serves the church by preparing the elements for the sacrament of the Lord's Supper celebrated together each week. We bring two loaves of bread: one for the pastor and the other cut and prepared for the congregation, and prepare the wine, juice and gluten-free crackers. We identify members of CTK willing to serve communion and clean up after. In short, we facilitate this renewing sacrament in which we, the church, participate each week.

Diaconal Ministry

Team Leaders - James Myette, Hyunil Moon, and Bradley Barnes

We have a three-pronged approach - Our Mercy Ministry seeks to meet community needs both inside and outside of the church, led by James Myette; Our Financial Ministry oversees the collection and distribution of tithes/offerings led by Hyunil Moon, and our Facilities Ministry is responsible for the set-up and tear down of our worship service as well as general care of the building, led by Bradley Barnes.

Hospitality Ministries

Team Leader - Monica Tsaniklides

Our mission is to contribute to the needs of the saints and seek to show hospitality (Romans 12:13). We display the love of Jesus by welcoming everyone who walks through our doors and inviting them to a time of fellowship after the service. We also desire to care for those experiencing a transitional or difficult time—like the addition of a new baby, sickness, or bereavement—through our meals program.

Music Ministry

Music Director - Nathan Glenister

The Music Ministry serves through the preparing and leading of songs and special music each week. Psalm 100 says "Come into His presence with singing", and our desire is to help the church body to do just that. Psalm 100 also says "Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth." It doesn't say it has to be good, just joyful. We are always open to more participants on the music team, reach out to Nathan if you are interested in getting involved. We also have a great need for volunteers to help with setting up and tearing down the sound equipment each week.

Youth Ministry

Leaders - Bradley and Meda Barnes, Eleni Lazarides

We have a high school and a middle school youth group that meet weekly for prayer, fellowship, Bible study, and fun.
